I'm an illustrator based in the Southside of Glasgow, Scotland. I work from my home-studio alongside my collection of plants, and my partner Tim (he's a film-maker). Our dog Jeffers can be found snoozing somewhere nearby too.
I studied Illustration at Edinburgh College of Art, class of 2009. These days, my work is centred around pet portraits and freelance illustration projects. I also produce a range of prints which you can find in my shop (I do wholesale too - if you're a retailer get in touch!). I'm also planning on running some beginners' drawing workshops in Edinburgh & Glasgow very soon.
I work mostly in pencil, gouache and ink. My approach to drawing and painting balances expressive mark-making with attention to detail. I love to make a good mess and I always aim to create illustrations which are full of character.
My favourite things include dogs, going to the beach, grey knitwear, my sofa, anything stripy and/or turquoise, making bread and baking cakes (and eating them). I'm left handed, quite clumsy and my all-time favourite film is Back To The Future (1, 2 AND 3).
You can subscribe to my newsletter at the bottom of the page to keep up with all my latest news and general chat from the studio!
